Question about Born Leader Talent

Negative Zero

now this seems a bit weird the text of Born Leader says:
The character gains a +4 bonus to Diplomacy checks when trying to convince someone to do something. ...
far as i know, you pretty much only use Diplomacy when you want to "convince someone to do something." seems like a bettter verison of the Affinity With Skill Talent. what gives?~NegZ

Only thing that immediately springs to mind is Influencing NPC Attitudes. Of course, a born leader should be able to influence people better too, right? I think a lot of AU is supposed to be a DM judgement call, so maybe this is just one more instance where the power has been "given back to the DM."

YMMV

I'd say that it doesn't give you any bonus in the opposed checks mentioned in negotiations - true, you could say that's "convincing someone to do something", but you're not doing it from a position of leadership, therefore I'd say the talent doesn't apply.
