Question about revised Star Wars RPG

Does anyone know if the revised rules will be compatible with all the previously published materials? I haven't picked up the anything yet but am planning on getting the revised rulebook when it comes out. I've heard that a few things, such as the Alien Anthology, and either the GM's screen or the character sheets were going out of print. One of the local stores had them, so I'm wondering if I should grab them while I can. thanks.

As far as I know, there will be some changes (armorbonus becomes Damage Reduction and so on), so I am not sure about it. Sorry, I can`t really help you.

There will be a free "conversion package", that allows you to update the "old" rules and stats.

If nothing else, all these books going out of print may end as collector's items sooner or later.

At my local WOTC store ALL StarWars RPG items except for the New Jedi Order Sourcebook are 50% off...the Core rules, Invasion of Theed, Dark Side, Rebellion, Secrets of X, sheets, screen, etc...

I'm heading out on Friday to grab a couple of books that I find are now worth the price to me.

For the most part, the old books will be very compatible with the Revised Core Rulebook. Some conversions will be necessary, but that is what the free conversion guide is for. It's not a "new edition" so much as it is a cleaning up of the current rules. If you'd like to know more about these changes, please feel free to look through the news archives on my site for more information. The most information can be found in the January Archive, but more information has come to light since then. Start there, and then read forward.
