Question for Publishers....

I've been wondering lately what kind of software companies use to make the wonderful products we all love to buy.....I was pretty much interested in what layout, design, word processing, and misc. software you guys use to put it all together..

This thread has been done before, so I'll give you samples of "most publishers".

layout, design

Most publishers either use QuarkXPress or InDesign.

word processing

Most publishers either use Word or Wordperfect.

misc. software

Acrobat 5.0 for .pdf makers.

Also, most use Adbe Photoshop for picture work.

Graphic design and layout . . .

QuarkXPress
Photoshop
Fontographer
Illustrator (I hate Illustrator . . . everything looks so clean)

I also use a lot of paint, junk, and anything else within reach of the scanner.
