Question on minis...

First Post
Two questions actually, and an answer to either would be great.

1. Do you know where I can get pre-painted minis?

Or

2. Do you know of a website that has step-by-step instructions on how to paint your minis half-way decent. (I'm not experienced at all in painting minis, but it would be nice to give them color without ruining them).

Thanks, everyone! :)

ebay sells painted mini's if you cannot find any at your local hobby shop. Other than that you can see the daily 'for sale' on ebay mini's at www.coolminiornot.com they have a page that shows the current mini's on ebay. For tips follow the link in my signature. A recomendation about starting to paint with the techniques that you will learn don't try to many techniques on your first mini. You will learn nile Dry brushing and washing and other things like NMM (Non Metal Metalics) but just use one technique per mini (like Try washing one, and then dry brush another). It will turn out well.

If you have problems finding a site there is Dragon #227 (where I learned to paint) and since, there was an ongoing artical in Dragon during the past year.
for pre-painted, e-bay is the main place I can think of.

There are a number of pre-ainted miniatures available from Dwarven Forge. I believe Holistic Design also sells pre-painted figures.

Here is the step-by-step articles of master painter Mike McVey. Mike was the king of Games Workshop's painting studios before working for WOTC.
