It's so bad it made the other movies playing in the same multiplex bad just by proximity.</p><p></p><p>Look, I like a "good" bad movie more than the next guy. I've seen Event Horizon twice and never laughed harder. I watched Glen or Glenda with a straight face. I've seen Manos: Hands of Fate a dozen times. I even wanted to name my dog Torgo (got vetoed on that one). But Battlefield Earth is just putrid. You could have made 20 good movies for what it cost to make this bad one. Hell, you could have made 100 cheesy movies that would have at least been fun to watch. And lest you say I hate Travolta, let it be known that I've enjoyed many of his films (anyone as good as he was in Saturday Night Fever and Pulp Fiction can't be dismissed out of hand), it's just that he's been playing the same gonzo character since Broken Arrow.</p><p></p><p>Would I pay a dollar to watch it? I paid more actually, but I didn't know going in how bad it would be. Would I pay a dollar now? No. Would I watch it for free? No. Would I watch it if you paid me? It'd have to be at least 10 bucks, and only as long as something better wasn't on.</p></blockquote><p></p>
