Questions: attacking a Spell component pouch?

Moon-Lancer

First Post
Is there anything stopping a caster from targeting a spell component pouch say with scorching ray rather then a caster? If you were fighting in combat, why would you not attack a spell component pouch rather then the opponent. If you destroy their pouch then they cant cast most spells right?

Is this just a good overlooked tactic? or is it breaking some kind of rule?

Another question please...

Could a caster cast Magnetic Pulse on another caster and would it Wisk their spell component pouch off their person? Does a spell component pouch content metal (like a component for a spell) that would be in the pouch by default?

Another question. would you rule that mythril has some iron in it?

Which is why all my spell casters have an extra spell component pouch.

Still, a spell component is at +8 AC for size, so its not easy to hit.
Wheter a spell component bag has metal is dependent on what spells that caster knows, as presumably you only carry components for those spells that you know. If you don't have time to search through your entire spellbook, I would just assign a percentile chance modified by caster level (the higher the castor level, the more likely he is to have a metal component.)
