Quick Question -- Leucrotta?

How do you spell this creature's name? It is the one that turns and kicks, kind-of like a large deer maybe...

Is this creature sourced in 3.5 and if so, what book?

Thanks,

Aluvial

I'm sorry. I am at work and can't remember. Hopefully someone else can post soon. If no one has by the time I get home, I will post the CR.

Good luck.

One of my favourite monsters. It's really lame that it only made it into an FR sourcebook, when it was in the original 1e MM.

Monsters of Faerun is actually a core D&D book, not an FR book. It has the core logo, is branded as a core book, and each monster is written from a generic/core perspective with a separate paragraph at the end explaining its use in FR.

Yes, there are a lot of FR creatures in there, but the line is blurry because for a long time in 2E the rule from TSR management was "if it's in core D&D, it's in FR," so you'd see new & weird core monsters show up in FR products and you'd see FR-unique creatures appear in the 2E MM (like the dracolich, and the beholder variants, etc., which first appeared in FR books). Anyway, after a lot of wrangling between the 3E core team and the 3E FR team, Monsters of Faerun ended up with a core-monster-book cover and a short FR "appendix" for each monster.
