I have quicktime on my PC. I have done the auto update and it says its up to date. But it seems every time I go to watch a new movie trialer that has been posted, I get a message saying it can't be played due to a bad atom or something like that. I'm geting really annoyed at it not working.
Anyone have any ideas?

You're trying to play the movie in quicktime embedded in your web browser, right? It might be that the plug-in component is what is having problems. Try uninstalling, rebooting and then reinstalling quicktime. There are ways to remove the plug-in without uninstalling quicktime, but they're a lot more work.

You probably have Version 6 or earlier. You have to uninstall that and then install Itunes /w quicktime (you can later uninstall the Itunes part).

The versions never updated to the next version, only to updates within the same version.
