Message: <blockquote data-quote="Keith" data-source="post: 749079" data-attributes="member: 10752"><p>I can't say that system appeals to me at all.  I think a cultural belief that the dead are where they most belong is a good start.  Then perhaps when society is in dire straits, and only a certain hero can help, they might bring that person back.  Or, perhaps it could be as a reward for a hero that died in a very noble fashion.  Right away, though, you run up against the question of whether reversing death is considered ethical.  Also, what would a deity's position on such things be?  Pretty hard to say, but there is a fair chance they have some stake in life and death functioning is the accustomed manner.</p></blockquote><p></p>
