Don't read the Dragon Overload trilogy IMHO, they are best left undisturbed...By the way, which one is the Dragon of the Lost Souls? Are you sure, you're not talking about the Dragon of a Lost Star? ;) The authors, Weis and Hickman (or at least Tracy anyways) promised that Raistlin would be back, and that no one had said definately that Raistlin went with the Gods after the Chaos War. I for one, would not think that Raistlin would do such a Gandalfish move, just so that he can remain an unique Master of the Past and Present and also the fact that he may have started to care for the people of Ansalon (or at least his immediate family) may have "prevented" him from going to the Dark Side. :D Warning, a minor virtual SPOILER ahead... ... ... ... ... ... ... Originally, I thought the authors had intended the One God to be Raistlin. After all, he is the Master of the Time (or at least the present and the past) and he was a God (an unchallenged and supremely omnipotent one at that) in another alternate reality. Once Raistlin ascended into Godhood, he may have altered Space and Time (or Space and Time may be been alterred irrevocably once he did ascend to Godhood) to exist beyond his spectrum of reality. Or so I thought...I was dissapointed to find out that I was wrong. Oh well... I now am pretty sure Raistlin will at least make a cameo appearance in the third book. I cross my fingers. ;)
