The features from that blend very nicely with the Ranger's normal class features, and the Terrain Mastery damage bonus stacks with Favored Enemy. And that Underground Mastery comes in useful, if you have no darkvision or want even better darkvision. Desert Mastery is fantastic. You can't get fatigued, and exhaustion is reduced to fatigued. If you stick with it for long enough, you can pick up the Shifting Planar Mastery, giving you a Dimension Door every 1d4 rounds. Very fun and useful, whether you pursue the Archery or Two-Weapon Fighting combat style.Another one that's really made for Rangers is the Leviathan Hunter from Stormwrack. It requires you to hunt the really big, bad beasties, but you get major bonus damage against them, and AC bonuses by making trophies from them after you've made a kill.Other ones that might fit well could be the Tempest or the Arcane Archer.
