Message: <blockquote data-quote="Southern Oracle" data-source="post: 1810698" data-attributes="member: 1249"><p>It sounds to me like you need to write up a brief document explaining to all the players what you consider to be evil and what is not, what actions will cause the paladin to lose his paladinhood, and anything else that might impact alignment shifts and/or the loss of class abilities.  As the DM, you certainly have the right to institute whatever rules/guidelines you want for your campaign, but obviously your definition of what is evil and what affects paladinhood differs from most other DMs.  As long as the players know ahead of time the guidelines you'll use to judge their actions, all is well.  If you didn't make it clear to the player ahead of time, however, then deciding he's slipping into evil is unfair in my opinion.</p></blockquote><p></p>
