Our goal for the weekend: have some buckets 'o' fun.We started out of town, pursuing some horse-thieves. The group consists of 4 people, 2 rangers(3), a fighter(3) and a wizard(3), which is me. I even got a bag with gems, suitable for 1st lvl spells. i chose scare and web as my first 2nd lvl spells, so i needed a small black gem for the scare - for that i used up all my money, sold the books i had found so far and lent some additional money...basically i was totally broke from the beginning.So we took to the wilderness with spare equipment, fought through a goblin-ambush, where the scare came in handy...and i had to make the first secret check to see whether the gem burns out or no. yipee. i did hint that this wasn't actually funny - i mean i roll bad and suddenly i can't cast my best spells anymore? pardon me? From there on she made some biting remarks whenever i did some 1st lvl spell about "if we did use ingredients, would you actually have this/that?!"...i stayed calm. Really. You can ask Darklone.Then, after finding some drow corpses and one living (who was friendly actually), defending him from some ghouls and then going into the underdark where, too, some nasties awaited, like a sea with some tentacled beast that fell pretty soon thanks to some criticals (boy, did we roll good that day <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":)" title="Smile    :)"  data-smilie="1"data-shortname=":)" /> )...we stopped.She suddenly announced, that the pressure was too high and that she felt her adventure was no fun at all and that someone else should run some other game.I have to say i don't understand why this happened, we all really just tried to get through those caves and get on with the pursuit.We did NOT make any comments about gems or the like, we were having fun. hmm.Ok, so we made a break, ate something, rolled up some chars and i ran Sunless Citadel from mind. She started off in a bad mood but "Meepo The Mighty" (tm) turned that into open laughing, so the rest of the weekend was grande. It was a wagonload of fun...Regarding Meepo, i will soon start another thread - i made some observations and hope to find the opinions of other ENBoarders about them...til then, have a nice dayDougal DeKree, tired gnomish Illusionist</blockquote>
