Message: <blockquote data-quote="aboyd" data-source="post: 5009771" data-attributes="member: 44797">You can still do something close to what you want, although it relies on invocations instead of the eldritch blast.  It's just a different feat.  The description of the warlock states that his invocations can benefit "from feats that emulate metamagic effects for spell-like abilities, such as Quicken Spell-Like Ability and Empower Spell-Like Ability (see pages 303 and 304 of the Monster Manual)."So when you hit 10th level, you'll have the ability to quicken any invocation which is equivalent to a level 1 spell (this is listed with each invocation).  So start of round, you cast an eldritch blast on an enemy 15' in front of you.  Standard action.  Then you run up to the enemy.  Move action.  Then you cast a quickened Hideous Blow invocation, which channels your eldritch blast into a melee attack.  Free action.Or perhaps you cast eldritch blast as a standard, then cast a quickened Breath of the Night invocation to obscure yourself as a free action, and then use a move action to escape.</blockquote>
