Enough black text, *SPOILERS AHEAD* Thanks DJ, yeah I pretty much agree with your assessment as well. The incubation times didn't bother me. Very easy to write off as selective editing. We don't know exactly how many ten minute intervals passed off screen. I also didn't have a problem with the one Predator's weapons not getting melted by the acid. From what I remember he was particularly fast in slicing the aliens. Kind of like swishing your bare hand through a flame. You do it fast enough you don't get burned. Of course you can nitpick this movie. You can do the same for Alien, Aliens, and Predator. Look at the scene at the end of Aliens where Ripley is hanging onto the rung in the airlock against the full vacuum of space with an Alien Queen hanging on her ankle. Not only does she shake off the Queen and endure the relentless vacuum, she then climbs out of the airlock without even using her feet! The battles between the Aliens and Predators were cool. Bam. Mission accomplished. The movie served its purpose. Everything else is gravy. Sure it would have been nice if they nailed everything, and I do believe there are valid things to criticize about the movie, but when there are a surprising number of things the movie did right I really don't see the point in dwelling on the negative.
