Ravenloft Tactical Maps

Did WotC ever make the tactical maps from Expedition to Ravenloft available at a resolution that they could be printed off and actually used at the gaming table? (Or were they ever commercially packaged into one of the map packs they've produced?)

I don't understand why they would spend all that money producing beautiful maps which serve absolutely no purpose whatsoever, but apparently they did...?

Not that I'm aware of - I would have snatched them up if I knew they existed.

I have, however, been trying to work on creating printable floorplans at 1" scale either through Dunjinni or CC3. Problem I'm having with Dunjinni is the floor map won't fit on a single "sheet".

It's for nostalgic reasons. They wanted the maps to appeal to people who loved the maps in the original module. I have no idea if that decision was good or bad for the product's sales but I don' think it was unreasonable.

None of those are tactical maps.

The original module didn't feature tactical maps.

Seriously, though. The more I look at these, the more baffled I become. For example, there's the instruction on page 36: "Ask the players to place their characters on the eastern edge of the map."

Instructions like that make sense in something like Keep on the Shadowfell when they include the maps at a usable scale. But it's complete nonsense when they don't.
