Ravenloft: What if?

I'm mulling over the differences in Ravenloft to other realms such as FR or GH and something occurred to me. People are drawn into the realm of Ravenloft all the time, but what would happen if the realms brought in a Good or Evil dragon?

It depends how powerful.

For the weaker dragons, I would suggest "not much" as the answer - more or less the same as if a mid-level PC is drawn in.

For the most powerful dragons, I'd suggest you probably have a new Darklord in the making, either as the Evil dragon runs rampage or as the Good dragon is corrupted and then runs rampage. Actually, I'm a bit surprised there isn't already a realm with that premise - although Ravenloft's schtick is gothic horror, it does filter it all through a fantasy lens, and the game is Dungeons & Dragons after all.

A dragon Darklord would be pretty wicked. I could see a realm based on Dragonslayer, where the land is subject to the dragon, providing sacrifices and living in fear of the wyrm. The peasants eke out a miserable existence on charred and barren lands.

Even if it was a good dragon, I suspect Ravenloft would find a way to corrupt the noble dragon.
