Regarding my CPU usage icon; is there a way I can permanaently add it to my taskbar icon tray without having to keep my Windows Task Manager window open?

If you minimize the task manager it should just dissapear into that little icon and leave nothing else in the taskbar. I think.

Go to your Windows Task Manager Options settings and click the Hide When Minimized option. Thats what I do.
