Reach Spell

The Reach Spell feat increases the spell level by two in Defenders of the Faith.
The Reach Spell feat increases the spell level by one in Urban Arcana.

Defenders of the Faith was published way-back-when.
Urban Arcana is new, but for D20 Modern.

Is there any D&D supplements that support the Reach Spell variant in Urban Arcana, or is this a wait-until-the-Complete-Divine-release-in-May kinda thing?

As a general rule, if something was not included in the 3.5 revision to over-ride the original description (like Reach Spell), then you should assume the original description is still valid. That doesn't mean it won't get changed, just that it was not so horrible that the people at WotC felt they HAD to fix it in 3.5.

That being said, remember that in the modern world (and thus, d20 modern), gunfights and ranged combat are more common. That makes Reach a more necessary and less "luxury" type of effect than in D&D. So, a lesser "cost" for using it makes some sense.

And besides, its probably better to jut wait for levels in Heirophant or Archmage and get the Reach Spell special ability. You already have to be fairly high level to effectively use the metamagic feat because of the +2 level adustment, so waiting one or two more levels isn't that big of a deal, especially when it mens you'll get the change whenever you want to use it, and or no spell level adjustment.

There are no new updates but d20 modern does not convert to d&d so you still have to use the +2 spell level for reach spell.
I'm aware of that. D20 Modern != D&D3.5/e. However, I was curious if something was released since Defenders of the Faith that changed the Reach Spell feat, or introduced a better feat that does what the d20 Modern version does.

I guess not.
