I always find characters in horror who are motivated by love or a desire to have something like a normal life, to be much more compelling. At the same time I like eccentric villains who have total disregard for these things as well. So the more there is the better. I just don't think you can say, these characters are bad because they don't pass a modern bechdel test. That just has more to do with are they in line with what we think of today about gender. It is a don't throw the baby out with the bathwater situation (no pun intended)</p></blockquote><p></p>
