I've been getting lots of Goodreader crashes on ipad 3 since ios7 too. It may come down to me looking at alternatives--it's pretty bad.

I find I miss the tactile feeling of being able to rapidly and instinctively flip to a page in a hardcopy book. Do any the solutions mentioned above provide this without necessarily resorting to tabs? I find iBook's scrollbars hit or miss as pages can take a while to load.
