Greetings everyone, We are currently accepting writing submissions if you're interested in getting published. We are looking for (in no particular order): * Original settings - any genre * Antagonist books (an indepth view of a specific monster, race, etc.) - this line is currently fantasy. If you have an idea for a modern or future book, feel free to run it by us. * Original adventures (mini-campaigns to one shots) - any genre * Any rules supplement or new mechanics * Art If you have an idea for something not listed, please run it by us. We're open minded. Things to keep in mind: * We have several design and quality goals here at RDP. We like to keep things simple, clear, and clean. * We value realism and grittiness, but not at the expense of fun and a good time. You may have the most intricate combat system ever designed, but if it takes an hour to do one round of combat - we're not interested. * Simplicity, but not simple. Get to the root of a problem, but don't oversimplify. * We are willing to work with you on design. If you have an idea but are not sure how to implement it, we will help. Payment We do pay for work on a modified royalty scale. Each work must pay for itself, so any overhead fees must be taken care of in advance - this is primarily advertising and pre-paid artwork. Once these costs are taken care of, the author gets 25% of the net profit per sale, paid monthly. Sometimes we can get art as a percentage as well. In this case, the author gets 20% of the net profit (since the artist gets an equal cut). The difference here is the royalties pay out much sooner because the overhead is lower. This model will actually pay out significantly more in the short run. Should we become big and successful, we can probably pay more - but we're still small fish in a big pond. So if you are looking to get involved with Reality Deviant Publications, please feel free to contact either myself at mdavidjarvis@yahoo.com or Reality Deviants' chief editor - Chris Caran - at jccaran@yahoo.com
