Reality Deviant Publications to publish Land of the Crane True20

First Post
Hi everyone!

I've been in negotiations with David Garret of Amalara publishing, and am happy to report that I have tentatively aquired the rights to publish the Land of the Crane game setting!

Once I get everything I need from david, I'll be putting this exciting setting on the fast track to publication.

I'll post more news here and on the reality deviant publications website as it develops.

Thanks for your time.

I thought Dark Quest Games was publishing this setting?

Either way, I loved working on the cover and would love even more to get a chance to attack the interior art on this.

Hiya Rick,

I don't know the specifics of the deal between David and Neal. David just mentioned that they didn't have time to devote to it.

As for the artwork, I'm still trying to get up to speed on the needs of this project, but if you want to talk I'm open to that.

Send me an email and we can discuss it, if you'd like?

About *@&# time! Big reason I purchased True20 was to kick up my OA-based game a couple of notches that D20 just couldn't accomidate.

Anytime I bring this up here or on the True20 boards I get the "you know I have a life outside of gaming" answer from David Garratt. Fine, but if you pay for the rights to publish, you should at least publish something!

Good luck and I know you guys can produce some great True20 material!

Thanks for your kind words everyone!

Unfortunately, Dark Quest games is contesting this (though they haven't emailed me directly..yet), claiming that David transferred the rights, which runs contrary to what David Garret had told me before I purchased the rights to Land of the Crane and the dungeon dungeon Dive line (which I was going to announce within the next few days).

So I'm trying to find out just what is going on. I'm not interested in contesting Dark Quest games claims to the right to publish this great setting. I don't want to step on anyone's toes.

I hope it does work out that I can publish this setting, but I'm not going to get into any kind of legal battle over it either.

I'll post more news about this as it develops.

Thanks
