Really honkin' big club

I'm a level 17 druid, and I'm still carrying around the same nonmagical club that I had at first level: I'm just not much of a melee man. But I just acquired shapechange, and I'm thinking that a titan is an awesome form to assume (especially since we use Rich Burlew's polymorph rules and are very strict about what equipment melds into a poly'd form). I'm thinking I should cast shillelagh, moving the club up by two sizes, before I shift into a titan.

Once I've done that, what kind of base damage are we looking at with the club?

I don't think weapons change size with you when you change shape, so it'd still be 2d6...
However, if they do, it should be the same as a colossal club, or 4d6.

Is there an arcane caster in your party? If so see if he can acquire the spells Mighty Wollop and Greater Mighty Wollop from Races of the Dragon. They increase the damage die of a Bludgeoning weapon without actually increasing its physical size. Very nasty with a high strength weilder... really dumb spell names though...

There's not an arcane caster in the party, sadly. And I'm pretty sure that weapons change size along with the wielder; I'm just not certain that it's cumulative, or if it is, what the end damage looks like.

Depends on the spell. Enlarge Person and Righteous Might explicitly say that they do (which wouldn't be necessarily if that was the default case). Alter Self and Polymorph, which Shapechange work off, do not say so.

Ah, I think I realized the problem: I'm actually working off of Rich Burlew's polymorph rules, and I'd assumed that the equipment part was the same. However, his rules explicitly deal with the equipment issue, stating that it resizes if the new form can wear it.

The titan has the ability to wield a weapon one size too large, so look at the damage it does and boost the damage size by one over that. (Mind you, titans don't wield greatclubs. I think the greatmaul is supposed to do 2d6 damage, which is one dice category over a greatclub, but maybe it only does 1d10 damage, in which case there's no "uppage". However, you would need to up the damage category at least once anyway.)
