[QUOTE="Thunderfoot, post: 3669715, member: 34175"] I think the bulk of the posters here are missing the point. Reaper is offering a less expensive, game ready alternative to their metal minis line. They aren't in direct competition or even swayed by the DDM lines. If you have never purchased a Reaper mini before, then I can understand the confusion. DDMs are NOT the industry standard, the round bases are not the norm (sort of) in the wargame business and the randomized nature is a rip-off of Mage Knight. Reaper has been cranking out hero and monster figs for many years to fill the void left when Ral Partha went under due to their licensing fiasco with TSR as they went under. If you want to see what a particular figure may look like if it is released, go to their website and find it using their "fig finder". You should get an image of a metal sculpt, which is all their plastics are, converted mainline sculpts. These figs will more than likely be BANNED from WotC competitions, so DDM is pretty much a non-entity when it comes to Reaper releases. RPG minded folks will find these figs are much more useful than those that play DDM & RPGs or those that play DDM exclusively. As for the orc sculpts, they harken back to 'classic' orcs (green skin, pig like faces, short than humans), I think the modern D&D images are the ones that are screwed up.
