Hey, Rashak! I'm a brazilian too. Dragon and Dungeon are getting harder and harder to get here.

If you wanna trade tips on getting stuff from abroad, drop me an e-mail!

Well, I'd like to see them in .pdf because my husband & I have been sharing our collection of magazines, but now we're getting a divorce. If one of us could get the magazine collection and one of us the issues on disc, it'd be great.

As I recall, wizards said it was a pretty firm "no" on this...

Not only was it not, I gather, very profitable, but it was actualy in violation of some copyrights, as there are so many different copyright holders involved in even a single issue of the magazine.

Or so I remember them saying.

Correct, the Dragon Archive violated the copyright rights of the freelance authors. Technically, i think the Archives qualified as "reprints" so the freelancers should have been paid royalties.

Now, I suppose if they were to release each issue on .pdf at the same time as the paper version, they could probably change a bit of the language in the contracts?

Ugh. I'll bet the artists would have to get the same consideration as the freelance writers. It makes sense and it is the right thing, but I'm still left feeling that not being able to reproduce issues after #250 is a shame.

Ah well. At least I have 1-250.

Well, if all those 250 issues reproduced on disk were against copyright, I would have figured that it would have never seen the light of day. I thought that they were able to bypass this restriction by saying that the archive was not a reprint but a reproduction. I'd like to hear more about this.

I'd love to see more done with electronic archiving. I LOVE my Dragon magazines on disk!

I think that's a damn shame.

I love being able to search the magazines online. Though I have all issues of Dragon ever published, it would be a pain in the ass to have to search through them all, especially since the first 100 or so are encased in plastic protectors.

Also, it is just plain cool to have them in electronic form.

I'm sorry about that. I hope things go okay. :(
