I don't have near the experience with the 3rd party publishers that I know many of you have on these boards, so I'm asking for people with experience to recomend me a product.

I'm looking for a setting product, a village or small town that is extensively fleshed out with locations and NPC's.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

System and Publisher don't matter.

The Talislanta Handbook has several. Are you sure system doesn't matter, moving beyond the core set of rules? It might be easier to make a recommendation if we knew what you were using it for.

I'm not big on village products but here are a few I'm aware of:

Village of Briarton

UKG publishing has 3 village products in their fantasy line.

Green Ronin did a Wood Elf Village.

Legend of the Five Rings by AEG has Mimura a detailed oriental adventures style detailed village.

A little more modern you have Chaosium's town of Dunwich for that mythos vibe.

Brave Halfling put out Larm a classic Old edition detailed D&D village.

For 10 cents you can get the pdf of The Valley of Frozen Tears a neat D&D fantasy area but I wish the pdf text copied over better, I just get symbol gibberish when I try from my copy.

I read a review of one on rpgnet recently that sounded interesting, a D&D one with I think all 0 level townspeople but tons of interesting NPCs and stuff going on among them. I think it was for older edition or retroclone D&D. I'm completely blanking on the name of the product and it is older than the current recent reviews listed on rpg.net right now.

I think you're thinking of [http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/14/14511.phtml]People of Pembrooktonshire[/url] and/or its companion module, No Dignity in Death: The Three Brides.
