Thanks in advance. Just list one or two of your favorites, and I'll look up the reviews. (Or is there a way to filter the reviews by rating and player levels?)

I enjoyed running the Adventure Path series, with Sunless Citadel in the opening slot.

The first Kalamar adventure ("Coin of Evil"?) read well to me.

Piratecat's psionic oriented "Of Sound Mind" has gotten good press.

The first Freeport adventure read well, also.

I'll add a vote for the Sunless Citadel. That's a great introductory adventure - one of the few low-level modules for any edition of D&D that I heartily recommend.

I've submitted a review of the Whispering Woodwind to rpg.net; I guess it'll appear there in the near future. Brief summary: good adventure, but not for everyone. It's also fairly short and for 2nd level characters, though what it does well, it does excellently.

Cheers!

Played, enjoyed and recommend Sunless Citadel. A dungeon crawl with enough twists and personality to be entertaining. Made with new players in mind, so its easy to DM.

Am playing Death in Freeport right now; a much more talky adventure. And shorter to boot. Its still fun, but it requires a lot more DM effort.

If your party enjoys slaying monsters or your DM is not extremely good, go with the Citadel. If your DM is quick on his feet and your group wants to role-play a lot, try Freeport.

I would also have to have Sunless Citadel first on my list. Its a short list:

1. Sunless Citadel, for reasons others have described above. A good dungeon crawl with good opportunities for diplomacy, and opportunities for each class to shine.

2. Ne'Morens Vault by Fiery Dragon Productions. another well rounded adventure with good challenges for a low level adventure.

  • I had a lot of fun with Death in Freeport.
  • Of Sound Mind reads great and I'm itching to find an opportunity to play it.
  • Gorgoldand's Gauntlet from Dragon Magazine Annual #5 also looks great. I'd say it's a more puzzle-oriented, and a little less deadly.
