Hi everyone! I'm thinking of running a new game in one of the Homebrew worlds seen in my Neospelljamming setting, but without any Spelljamming involved--these will be heavily genre-flavoured ideas that explore details and nuances of one world in particular. But which world? I need you to help me decide--which of these is the coolest? Tymadeau--Knights Arrant, King's Musketeers, mysterious Witches, and more! This adventure would be a Swashbuckling high-action Medieval/Renaissance-transition flavoured game where magic is mysterious, enigmatic, and often untrustworthy, where chivalry isn't dead and kings, dukes, nobles, warlords, and pirates engage in double-dealings and intrigue. Xarata--enigmatic Ronin, Loyal Samurai, cunning Ninja, and masterful Martial Artists! This adventure would involve the interplay of Clans and Daimyos vying for power under the watchful eye of the Jade Emperor, while the Demons, Spirits, and the Shadow exist on the edge of society, constant threats and sources of inspiration for tales of the supernatural. Vanarca--In the magic kingdom of Altania, all inhabitants have innate magical abilities, down to the lowliest peasant, and the greatest attend the great magical academies. What arcane mysteries and ancient grudges await beneath the civil veneer, and what of the groundlings who live far below the floating kingdom on the planet's surface? Scandaj--unstoppable Berserkers, powerful Mystics, passionate Skalds! This adventure would have a Norse feel, exploring a brutal world where civilisation is still recovering from an apolcalyptic battle of the gods. Amaranthia--A mystical and highly mysterious world home mainly to the fey. It seems like a utopian paradise, but there are so many things that are unexplained. What mysteries lie in Amaranthia's distant past? What aspects of the living world's magic are still not understood? Arris--Not Applicable for the Moment. I might run something on Arris later. Gyaros--loyal Centurions, faithful Templars, and ingenious Warmages! Gyaros is the capital of the interstellar Praetorian Empire. This adventure would have a strong Roman feel (with a big twist!) with intrigue among the various factions and social classes--possibly minor Spelljamming as a means to travel between various Praetorian worlds, but probably not much. Sancirce--noble Champions, ardent Zealots, relentless Inquisitors! Sancirce is a world where faith is paramount, so when a string of murders turn up indicating the involvement of a hidden evil cult, a team of Sancyric regulars must do what it takes to solve a mystery that will reveal a shocking truth. Chuliit--Totemists, Animists, Shamans, Soulwardens...oh yeah, and Wild Mages! Chuliit is a jungle world with strong influence of spirits and nature. While some might call the cultures of the Lacerta (reincarnated dinosaur-like humanoids) and Feldori (strange catlike humanoids) inhabitants primitive, they are in tune with nature in surprising ways. When an ancient and evil spirit awakens from a milennia-old entrapment, the world may be doomed to enter a new Ice Age! Rhapsodia--The Melodians and Harmonians are crystalline beings that experience sound in a different way than most humanoids, allowing them to produce beautiful music. However, a malefic curse begins to take hold of a Sonatan village--can a team of heroes discover the cause before it is too late?
