I am reading the adventure, and coupled with the pregens it has a very classic feel to it. The poster map is black and white and looks like it's almost hand drawn. The pregens are printed on orange half sheets. Mechanically, this is looking way easier to teach than classic 4e.
Adventure plot is fairly straight forward... feels very much like something you would have done in Keep on the Borderlands... a mission to Sunderpeak Temple to find out why the priests there haven't responded.
Here is the blurb from the back:
This adventure is designed to be a direct follow on to the adventure in the red box. So hurry up and play the red box adventure, and then get to a store and play the follow up... or just show up and have a good time.
It looks like a lot of fun to me.

Sunderpeak Temple, long a bastion of good on the edges of the wilderness, has succumbed to an unknown threat. You have been tasked to journey to the site of the temple and find out what has befallen its residents, as the priests are needed to destroy an enchanted skill (I think that should be skull) imbued with necromantic magic. Will you face down the dark denizens that dwell within and learn the truth of the temple's fate?
