I just got this Official Red Dragon Of Krynn model off Ebay for 51 bucks. Very cool fig and huge to boot: 24” long and 16” high wings. My Dungeons and Dragons players will soil themselves when this thing hits the battle mat. It is sitting in a back office at my job right now. {Romeoville public library} Staff wanted it placed in a display case in the children’s department to build readership for fantasy books but alas the dragon’s wings were just too big for the case we had that was empty. The fig was a pain to get to the library because I had to carry the huge box it was shipped in with one hand while I rode my bicycle to work. The story behind that bike ride was I got a “US post office delivery conformation slip” in the mailbox on Monday because NO one was home. I thought the shipment was a bunch of dragon magazines I had won 2 weeks ago from ebay. The red dragon had only been shipped on Friday and it was not expected for about a week. So I roll down the local post office to pick up my package on Tuesday right before work. I filled out the card in a hurry at the post office, handed it to the teller and then low and behold the teller brought out a box that made ME feel Small[ and I am 6’3” & 335lb. ]. I was in a little trouble cause I was running a little late to get to work as it was and work was a mile away! I literally had to jab my hand into the box for a grip to hold the package steady on my handlebars. I wound up being only 2 minutes late. What really scares my players is I have another copy of this model kit at home that I can now be creative with. How does Draco-teuthis sound? A colossal squid headed dragon…how Kawaii! [cute]
