I had decided to re-read my Dragon magazines (thank goodness for that CD collection!), and in #58 (February '82), they had an article called "The Gods of the Dwarves." There was a paragraph about how most dwarven pantheons will also have a comical god of alcohol who is "very obese and with a ratty beard" and that "The names of these deities are different from clan to clan, though there is some evidence that many of these names (Budwizr, Koorz, Mo-ghan Davit) may actually represent the same being." Maybe I'm just an unfun person, but this got a sigh and an eye roll from me. And made me wonder if Moradin and the other gods also have jokey names and I don't get the joke.</blockquote>
