I understand that a wizard specialist has to give up two schools at level 1 (except diviner).
As a red wizard he has to give up an additional two schools (except a diviner)
Is this correct ?

The example in the DMG say that a transmuter (prohibited schools: abjuration and enchantment) has to give up only one school: conjuration.
Is this a mistake? I thought he had to give up two additional schools.

You only have to choose one additional school, regardless of what school you specialized in.

The text is not exactly well-written.

(According to the text you can freely choose to drop multiple schools, if you want to. )
