I would not allow anthropomorphic at all.

But, if I did, I would allow the constrict ability. Although the non-humanoid shape helps the constrict, I see it as mainly a result of the tentacles. In addition, the ability by itself does not appear broken.
 


It seems to me that the "races" wre less well thought out than the usual splat races (a low standard).

The bat and whale are well known for being completely broken.

I just wouldnt want to deal with the brain damage of reseting LA's.

If you have a balanced one, then go for it.
 

Is there something wrong with Anthropomorphic?
I was thinking of a "Magical Beast/Monstrous Humanoid" campaign, but is there something inherently problem-causing with them?

The complete silliness of them? :)

With that said, if you like the concept of them, and they work in your game, go for it! As has been pointed out, though, some of them are considered broken.
