D&D 5E Reduced Price on DMG and MM on Amazon

The DMG have had their prices reduced to the lowest I've seen since I preordered them when they went up. Both books are currently $34.33.

Dungeon Master's Guide (D&D Core Rulebook) by Wizards RPG Team

Monster Manual (D&D Core Rulebook) by Wizards RPG Team

Good scoop. :)

Now, we're talking $100 for all three, if you go the Amazon route. That's not bad at all. And some of us, seemingly, can pay full MSRP to get them a little earlier at our local gaming stores.

Thaumaturge.

You know, its no 3e $20 bucks a core rule book 2000 release, but really, where else are you going to find three 320 page hardcover full color art rule books with a premium brand for less than $100?

The worst part is the waiting. GIMME GIMME GIMME!

Hmm, interesting, my pre-order guarantee hasn't kicked in yet for the DMG yet. MM did though, I imagine it's just a routine query they run though.

Hmmm.... Starter Set + MM + PHB is $76.95 right now.

This is getting hard to resist, and into range of "worth sight unseen"

I was going to wait to (pre)order the books but when the PHB dropped to $29.97 last week I had to order them all.

Happy Way-in-the-future Birthday to me?

Well, I haven't run 4e for a couple of years (and I've just realised that I never got to play it), so I'm trading in my 4e books to Amazon. Getting surprisingly good rates for them! £26.50 for the core books (63% of what I paid for them), £7 for MM2 (53%), £5.50 for PHB2 (42%), £3.25 for Arcane Power (29%), and a whopping £12 for Adventurer's Vault (107%). I should get about 41% of what I paid back in vouchers - and since I do most of my non-food online shopping at Amazon, that's as good as cash.

So, if I want to buy the 3 core 5e books, they're already paid for by my 4e books :)
