The Rebel Alliance always needs supplies. I was sent to Droecil to help the local Rebel cell divert some medical supplies from an Imperial stock depot. I contracted a freighter captain named Roark Garnet to haul the cargo to a collection site in the Calus system. Garnet and his co-pilot, Hawk Carrow, own the Dorian Discus, an inconspicuous tramp freighter. As we were loading the last of the supplies onto the Discus, Imperial stormtroopers burst upon us in the docking bay. The good captain blasted off immediately, of course. We got all the cargo aboard, but there was something he took that wasn't supposed to be loaded. Me. I was just there to shepherd the deal and then return to Salliche. Instead, I found myself the third passenger as the Discus made her trip. Such is life. My return to my homeworld would be delayed a bit. Things could have been worse. All told, it was a pretty quiet trip. I got to know Captain Garnet and Hawk. A shortcut was taken by jumping through the Keller Void. And, that's when the fun began. "Looks like the Discus dropped us out of hyperspace just before we slammed through an asteroid field," Captain Garnet says. "It's not on any of the charts." There was a heavy 'thunk', and the ship jerked. Something massive had just hit the hull. "Great!" Said Garnet. "Why don't you get yourself up into the topside gun and blast any chunk of rock that comes close enough to hit us. I'm shutting down some of the other main systems so Hawk and I can check out the hyperdrive, make sure nothing's wrong." All I can recall is that Keller's Void is named for the trader who discovered it as a shortcut between the Wroona and Calus systems. Nothing more comes to mind.
