Reincarnate ideas...

Ok, so last game session my halfling cook (rogue) took a turn for the worse and bought the farm. Sniffle, sniffle...

Now that you've had a moment to adjust to life without the halfling, I'll continue on.

In the party we have a druid with access to a reincarnate spell. I've talked things out with the DM and we've explored a few options available, and, in the end, we decided to have the druid reincarnate the poor little halfling. We rolled up "kobold" as the new race that he shall be reincarnated as...

So here's my question to y'all: What fun things would a "cook formerly known as a halfling" have to say about now being a kobold?

Oh, and I should probably mention...the character has a wisdom score of 5.

I already have a, "What have you done to me??!!" moment planned...but what else?

Well, his taste buds are all different now, of course.

I can see endless mirth involving him cooking his favorite meals, only to find that he no longer can stomach butter-cream pastries with mushrooms and potatos.

Instead, he is horrified to find that mice taste good. Especially deep fried.

Raw meat is a nice start. Nibble on some living mice.

Cut fingers of killed opponent (snacks later).

Eyeball soup.

Be horrified about cooking eggs. (THE POOR CHILDREN!)

Everything is better when fried.

Let's see -- he's used to being short, but he'll be faster. Probably trip over his own feet a lot until he gets used to it.

He'll have to deal with having a tail, accidentally whacking the shins of those that stand too close when he turns around, getting it caught in closing doors, finding pants that fit... etc.

Well the halfling girls may have a lot to say about it.

Overall I don't see too many adjustment issues, could have fun with the tail and the constant trap building,mmmmm, cooking and trap building...is this how the boiling oil being poured onto foes came into being?

Other small races may cause him problems.
