remove paralysis and dex poison

Could someone tell me if the spell remove paralysis will heal a character who has been paralyed by a poison which does temparory dexterity damage?. Remove paralysis can "free one or more creatures from the effects of any temporary paralysis" but lesser restoration only restores 1d4 temporary ability damage.

The last sentence of the spell in the PH on page 245 says: The spell does not restore ability scores reduced by penalties, damage, or loss.
