Rolling a d4 for x2 and d8 for x3 gives the x3 weapon a better CHANCE for the crit to be more severe. Twice as severe on average. I'm still tweaking a bit, and i need to look at the HM crit charts before deciding, but I think d4/d8/d12 may be how I go about it. d12 may end up being 2d6, but I don't know if I want to curve the x4 weapon really..Thanks for mentioning the exploding dice however. I hadn't thought of it in quite that manner yet.
