Reporting results is really just for convention play?

Okay, so, our group was always a few months behind at best on AL Expeditions modules, as we tend to replay a lot of older ones for new folks as they wander in and such. Recently, however, we've been able to catch up with the new season's offerings, and I (and the rest of our group) were disappointed to find out that store-play sessions effectively cannot report any results of their play (i.e., http://dndadventurersleague.org/results ) which is disappointing to say the least. I had always assumed that while the window there for store play to report was small, I hadn't actually noticed it was non-existent until just recently.

Any likelihood of this changing in the future? As mentioned in other threads, one of the issue AL has to contend with is the severe lack of player connection to the plotlines, stories and characters. Anything that could increase that would help, IMHO.

There are qr codes on the back of adventures giving most played about a month to report feedback (although some Ascentures have shorter windows due to the timing on premiers). Stores are supposed to report table attendance however

Right, but the feedback/results is only for convention play, etc., tho, it appears... which is what i'm asking if could be changed. For example, Malady at Elventree's reporting period ended the last day of November -- and it became available for store play only on Dec. 1st. It'd be nice if the store plays out there had a small window as well to report these modules also.

Malady of Elventree was an aberration. Most of the expeditions I have run over the last 3 seasons had their reporting period end approximately 3-6 weeks after it became available for general play. As I said above, it depends on when the premier events are run as to how much time remains on the reporting window.

The thing is, that the QR codes are created at the time the adventure is finished. If it is premiered shortly after that date, it will go live a month later giving plenty of time for players to report in. If however, the premier occurs weeks or even a month after the QR code was created, the window is much shorter when it goes live.

Now with that being said, I am uncertain whether there is a possibility for extending the reporting period in these situations, but even if there is - I doubt the admins will be given permission to alter the dates on the back page of the adventure (so players who don't check the AL website may not be aware of the extended reporting window).

In general, stores are not banned from reporting their critical events, though the premier and regional preview schedule may occasionally through a wrench into there being enough time for them to do so. I'm not actually sure of the specifics with what happened with Malady of Elventree, but its not the normal. The reason we don't leave the critical events open longer is that we have adventures coming out that use those critical events and we need to use the reported events to adjust them.

I guess we just got caught up at the wrong time then, as three of the last four Season 3 mods released have had no reporting periods for store play (Malady, Waydown and Foolish Matters). Ah well; thanks anyway.

I must admit , because of the cycle we use locally I rarely use the reporting sheets. It just dosnt sync up to our local cycle.. the fact currently at the moment we are seeing a fair number of 5-10 tier scenarios also impacts that.. I just dont run many of these locally. I think they are a good idea however.

Actually, I tried reporting my results last night for Malady of Elventree and it wasn't working, but it appears to be working now (just sent in my adventure results about 5 min ago). Maybe give it another shot?

Well spotted, Inxanity! It wasn't working this weekend either, but despite it saying the result period ended at the end of November, it indeed was available for me when I just checked as well. Thanks! I have informed my players to be quick, in case it being open still/anew is just a fluke.
