Repulsion vs. Freedom of Movement

Does repulsion count as one of the magical effects that freedom of movement protects against?

If so, how about antilife shell? Wall of force? Imprisonment? Dimensional lock? Etc...

Where does the generic phrase below end?

Those spells do not modify ("impede") the movement speed of a creature. They are barriers, they block movement, just like a normal wall. If you allow Freedom of Movement to bypass Wall of Force, then you would be effectively granting the benefits of Etherealness because the creature could walk through walls.

Also, this is in line with the concept that things like Spell Resistance do not apply to spell effects already in place. Same principle.

So you'd make the distinction one of barrier vs. hindrance, where repulsion is a barrier and web is a hindrance?

I can see how that would be a consistent way to interpret the spell.

Does anyone know if this has been covered in any FAQ before?
