Retriever HP10d10+80?

For those long years I did not noticed but ... why retriever has +80 bonus to it's hp? Shouldn't it be +40 because it is a huge construct?

Yes. You've found one of the errors present in the SRD; the retriever should only have 95 hit points.

If I may shill for a moment, this and many other mistakes are caught and corrected in Cooper's Compendium of Corrected Creatures.
