The scene in which Obi-Wan confronts Padme and deduces that Anakin is the father of her child has just the slightest hint of this potential... what if Obi-Wan had been, uh, extra friendly towards Padme during her time of need? After all, he did help save her life a few times, and Anakin was acting all weird. What if Anakin found out about this and got jealous of Obi-Wan for trying to steal his woman? And then Anakin's sudden hatred of Padme would make more sense.Of course, we know that Anakin really is Luke/Leia's father, but Anakin himself wouldn't necessarily have to know that... if he could suspect Obi-Wan of being the father... how much more powerful the emotion could have been!Ah, well. Back to writing fan fiction.</blockquote>
