If I recall correctly, back in 2e Bruce Cordell wrote a module called Reverse Dungeon. In Reverse Dungeon, the players played as monsters in a dungeon, and the enemies were the pesky adventurers. It seemed like a fun module, so I bought and ran it. The players each played three goblins. At first they came up with good goblin names like Kazak and Crum, but as the adventurers slaughtered goblin after goblin warrior goblins began popping up with names like Idiot, Stupid, and Retard. Good times. ;) Anyway, some more memories from that module: The players decided to dig a pit at the entrance of the cave. But the cave ground was pure stone. They still demanded digging a pit. So they dug, and dug, and dug, and about half a foot into the ground (and a few shovels) later, the adventurers came. New goblins were rolled up. Speaking of rolling up the goblins, I remember the module gave new rules. Instead of 3d6 for each stat, the players were forced to roll only 2d6. But it was fun anyway. :D Eventually, the Morgull (or whatever the name was, the leader of the goblins) was assassinated. One of the player's goblins (the one with the most experience) became the new Morgull. And he decided to execute a raid on the town below the dungeon. They sent diplomats to the lizardmen tribes, the red dragon, and to other goblin sites. I think they eventually convinced the red dragon with a giant, golden statue (and a few goblin appetizers, to boot). The town was razed, and the players had a blast. Anyone else have experience playing in this Module, or any other Reverse Dungeons?
