Greetings! Hi guys I often visit the Wizards.com boards and other Mystara boards and found yours after doing a search on Elemasters. I had brought up a question about why Aaron didn't include them in the WoTI. Anyway I know that I am new but I had a chance to really look over the hard work that you guys put into trying to convert Frank's Elemasters into D&D 3 (or 3.5?). Could I pose or point out a couple of things without looking presumptuous? 1) One of you had mentioned early on during the coverting that you were sort of baffled as to why gods had levels limited to only 20, but virtually no limit for the Epic mortals. As you already know all of the ablities and power geared to Epic characters also apply to gods. Second, since god's have divine rankings that should be more than enough to compensate for any lack of levels. 2) In the RC, Aaron had advised against trying to convert gods and immortals between systems, obviously because they aren't compatible as the monsters and characters are. But since you did that leaves me to... 3) I was confused that you did not give the Elemasters divine rank, despite that Hierarchs are equivalent to Greater Gods? Instead you guys turned them into mega-powerful elementals. As a side question: Who are these "Elemental Deities" that you guys refer to as the Elemasters serving? My understand is that the Elemasters are the elemental deities . 4) Finally, sort of in addition to #3, wouldn't Elemasters be outsiders since they exist in the Elemental planes? Also I wouldn't put so much emphasis on HD, since it is common for many non-immortals monsters to have more HD than the immortals. For example: Elemental Rulers could have HD as high as 80, but the max HD for any immortal is 50HD (45HD in Frank's version). I just thought that I would through that out there.
