It's funny because when it comes down to it, Bond is really a terrible spy. The bad guy almost always knows exactly who Bond is right away. They exchange pleasantries, joust verbally a bit, and then the villain tries to kill Bond in the next scene in some grandly elaborate way. Even though it's become such a trope of these movies - to remove the trope is to kind of remove one of the things that I love about these movies.</blockquote>
