Sickly and weak, Khugel was a burden initially, but he was smart and dexterous enough to be apprenticed to the local alchemist. In one foray into the wild to collect some ingredients, he was captured early in his life by a pack of duergar. He served as a lowly servant, to weak for mining, but nimble enough to climb where the bulkier dwarves couldn't really get and expendable enough to use for milking venomous critters and brewing terrible poisons. In time, he got into scouting, perfecting both acrobatic stunts he could pull off running if he's detected, and stealth.</p><p></p><p>His break came in Skull Port when his owner lost some bet or the other. And somehow in between one owner and the next, Golden Vault stepped in. Since then, he was provided shelter, libraries, and a lab for saving poisoned people. This is the first time he is called to do something active and he's eager to prove himself.</p></blockquote><p></p>
