The September 17th Wednesday session is finished. The party inspected the small stone building, outside which they had fought the zombear, and saw that it was a single large block of stone, shaped by magic seemingly. The roof was raised in the middle of the 15'x20'x7' building, and by climbing a tree, Goir found that the roof was open to the outside, but filled with cobwebs. The door on the building's west side was large and intimidating, made of wood but covered with a layer of leathery flesh from some unknown creature, painted blue to stand out amidst the jungle scenery, and covered in arcane sigils drawn in blood. Cautiously, the party opened the door from a short distance, Goir putting his grappling hook around the large handle and pulling the heavy door open. Inside, the room was dark, with only dim light shining through the thick cobwebs. Smoke lit his bullseye lantern while Goir lighted up a small tree branch to serve as a torch. The party slowly entered the building, looking around the plain room, considering burning down the cobwebs. Armon noticed two shapes amidst the webs, and tried poking one with his longsword, but it leaped out of the way and attacked Alaron nearby. Over the next few moments, three more spiders skittered down and attacked the party, only causing a few minor wounds with their mandibles. Alaron was poisoned and felt a little weaker, but not too bad. The party destroyed the spiders and tore down the webs with swords and sticks. They began to search the webs and floor for any treasure, notes, journals, or other helpful items.....
