[QUOTE="Arkhandus, post: 1138772, member: 13966"] Server open for Wednesday Sept 24th game, IP Address is ip68-2-244-122.ph.ph.cox.net:6774 EDIT: Session finished. The party inspected the large room, finding various potions, scrolls, alchemical items, familiar-summoning components, strange tools, and alchemy lab devices. Smoke found a secret compartment in the underside of one desk, which contained a small book written in a strange language, as well as two complex magical scrolls, which he stored in his backpack for the time being. The party inspected the small eastern corridor, finding a locked iron door. They searched for a hidden key or switch, and found an illusory wall, leading to a small bedroom, mostly used for storage though by the previous inhabitant. Smoke ransacked the room until he found an iron key in a secret compartment, and used the key to unlock the southern room. The south room was a small chamber, half the floor occupied by a glowing circle of arcane sigils, a powerful arcane diagram seemingly used for containing summoned creatures. Indeed, resting within the circle was a tiny humanoid creature, apparently bound by the arcane circle. The creature was only tall enough to reach a human's knee, with mottled, scaly red-gray skin, a pair of curved yellowish horns on its head, and black, leathery bat-wings. Its eyes glowed a sickly green, while the faint scent of sulfur and brimstone emanated from it. Once the party entered the room, the winged critter took notice and flew up to hover a few feet of the ground, eye-level with the humans and elves. It gibbered for a few minutes, then Smoke tried addressing it in some of the older languages he knew. The imp-like creature responded, and the two conversed for several minutes in a strange, rasping, foul tongue suited to fiendish creatures. Smoke occasionally translated some of its words into Tradespeak for the rest of the party, who conversed about the nature of the strange creature, what to do with it, and whether to trust it. Fleown was suspicious that it might be a type of fire elemental, due to its smell and strange appearance, while others suspected it of being a fiend. The group decided to inform the Fortuna's Mage Master Orvidan later, and leave such decisions up to him. Smoke locked the room behind him, and the party left to rest in the former krenshar lair. Armon and Alaron hunted briefly, but were only able to find food for themselves. The rest of the party ate some of the few remaining trail rations, then everyone slept in the krenshar cave, putting the krenshar kittens into a makeshift pen to keep them from gnawing on Goir's corpse during the night...
