Ride small dragons? Mercury Dragon?

Is there written guidance on the required size of a dragon for it to be ridden by a medium size humanoid? Large? Huge?

Also, has anyone seen an official conversion of the 2E mercury dragon? (Yes, it IS too small to be ridden).

What kind of fly speed would it have, -10? It only can fly downwards, and at double speed

It would have to be large, IMO, but I don't know if that's an actual rule. Not that a medium dragon would be strong enough to carry a human-weight rider anyway. Note that a creature can't carry it's full load and fly either.

I also don't give the four-limbs bonus to carrying allowance to flying dragons since they use two wings, so riding dragons have to be pretty strong. This is probably a house rule.

Dragons, like all mounts, need to be at least one size larger than the creature riding them. Clying creatures can only fly when carrying a light load (eratted from a meidum load).
